Tawhid, the First and MainTuesday, 05-April-2011, Author: A-Science Bulletin, Jember
There is no doubt that the unity of a high status even the most high in Islam. Tawhid
is the greatest right of Allah upon His servants, as in the famous
hadith of the noble Companions Mu'adh bin Jabal Radhiyallah 'anhu
Shallahu when Rasulullah' alaihi wa sallam said to him:
(يا معاذ, أتدري ما حق الله على العباد وما حق العباد على الله?) قلت: الله ورسوله أعلم? قال: (حق الله على العباد أن يعبدوه ولا يشركوا به شيئا, وحق العباد على الله أن لا يعذب من لا يشرك به شيئا)
"O
Mu'adh, do you know what Allah's right upon His servants and the rights
of His servants of God?" Mu'adh replied: Allah and His Apostle know
better. Shallahu
Rasulullah 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Allah's right upon His servants is
that they worship Him and not associate him with anything." (Narrated by
al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Meaning of Tawheed are:
Efforts
to give up all forms of worship only to Allah Almighty Creator of the
universe, as well as keep all forms of worship to other than Him. Tawhid is the religion of every apostle 'alaihimus greetings. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has sent them to bring unity to the mission of each congregation.
Among the primacy of monotheism is:
1. Tawhid is the main foundation of all construction practices that exist in this religion.
As the hadith narrated from the Companions 'Abdullah bin Umar' anhuma that the Messenger of Allaah wa Sallam alahi bersab:
بني الإسلام على خمس: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله, وإقام الصلاة, وإيتاء الزكاة, وصوم رمضان وحج بيت الله الحرام
"Islam
is built on five principles: (1) Shahadah that none has the right to be
worshiped except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, (2)
establish the prayer, (3) regular charity, (4) shaum in the month of
Ramadan (5) hajj to the House of Al-Haram. "(Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)
2. Tawhid
is the first commandment in the Qur'an, as opposed to shirk which is
tawheed which is the first ban in the Qur'an, the word of Allah
Subhanahu wa Ta'ala in surah Al-Baqarah verse 21-22:
يا
أيها الناس اعبدوا ربكم الذي خلقكم والذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون (21) الذي
جعل لكم الأرض فراشا والسماء بناء وأنزل من السماء ماء فأخرج به من
الثمرات رزقا لكم فلا تجعلوا لله أندادا وأنتم تعلمون (22) [البقرة / 21,
22]
"O mankind! Ibadahilah you by your Lord who created you and those before you so that you become those who fear Him. Which
has made for you the earth as a bed, the sky as the building, and
lowering the water from the sky, then Allah issued by the water of
fruits, as rizki for you. So do not you make up rivals to Allah while you know. "(Al-Baqarah: 21-22)
In
this verse there is a commandment of God "Rabb ibadahilah you" and the
prohibition of God "do not you make up rivals to Allah".
3. Tawhid
is the main axis of propagation throughout the prophets and apostles,
since the first apostle to the apostles the cover of the Prophet
Muhammad sallallaahu 'alahi wa Sallam, as the word of Allah Subhanahu wa
Ta'ala:
"And indeed We sent to every nation a messenger (the call) so that you worship Allah and stay away from Evil." (An-Nahl: 36)
Allaah also says:
"We
did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him: that no
one deserves to be worshiped but I, then beribadahlah you to Me."
(Al-Anbiya ': 25)
4. Tawhid is the greatest commandment of all orders. Similarly, opponents of monotheism, that is Shirk, a ban on most of all restrictions.
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:
"And Rabbmu have decided that you do not worship except Him" (Al-Isra ': 23)
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala also says:
واعبدوا الله ولا تشركوا به شيئا [النساء / 36]
"And beribadahlah to God and you do not associate him with something else." (An Nisa ': 36)
The command to worship God and prohibitions do shirk, God put before the other commands. Shows that the greatest commandment is Tawheed, and the ban is the biggest shirk
5. Tawhid is the entry requirement of a servant to the Al-Jannah (paradise) and protected from the An-Nar (hell). As
well as opponents of shirk is a major cause of the entry and
terjerumusnya a servant into the An Nar and forbidden from Jannah Allah.
God berfriman:
"Verily,
those who ascribed partners to Allah, Allah will forbid him al Jannah
and where the return is an-Nar and none for those wrongdoers no
helpers." (Al Mâ'idah: 72)
The Messenger of Allaah alahi wa sallam said:
من مات وهو يعلم أنه لا إله إلا الله دخل الجنة
"Whoever
died and he knows (knowledgeable) that there is no true god except
Allah, then he will get into Al-Jannah." (Narrated by Muslim)
The Messenger of Allaah wa Sallam said alahi well as narrated from Jabir ibn Abdillah radi 'anhu:
من لقي الله لا يشرك به شيئا دخل الجنة, ومن لقيه يشرك به شيئا دخل النار
"Whoever
encounter God in a state do not shirk to Him with anything, he will
enter Al-Jannah and whoever encounter God in a state of shirk bebruat to
him, he will go to An Nar." (Narrated by Muslim)
6. Tawhid is a condition of receipt charitable person by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
Allah says:
"It
has been revealed to you (Muhammad) and those (the prophets) before
you, that if you commit shirk, undoubtedly batallah all deeds, and must
be among the losers." (Az-Zumar: 65)
Shirk is an alias for void tertolaknya all deeds. Then the opponent Shirk, Tawhid is a condition of acceptance of deeds.

From
the explanation above about the virtues of unity, then it is clear that
the message of the apostles is a treatise that is monotheism. Tasks and their purpose is one, is to restore the rights of this people of God to worship Him and Him alone.
This
is propaganda of the Apostles since the first apostles of Noah 'alahis
greeting until the last messenger of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu' alahi
wa Sallam. The
apostles were not only the demands of humans to recognize and believe
that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala only one Essence that creates, gives
rizki, turn on and off, but also demands that the apostles of mankind so
that they recognize and have faith that God Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is the one of His Essence is entitled to and deserve to be worshiped, no partner to Him in worship rights. Namely mentauhidkan God in worship.
The
Messenger of Allaah wa Sallam alahi as a good role model for us, he
started preaching for 13 years with monotheism in Mecca and deny worship
to other than Allah, both worship the prophets, angels, guardian,
rocks, trees, and so forth are performed by the Arabic and others. Similarly, after his pilgrimage, preaching in Medina for 10 years, he continued preaching toward monotheism.
Similarly,
when he sallallaahu 'alahi wa Sallam mendakwahi sent his companions to
mankind, he ordered them to start the first time that must be submitted
were preaching monotheism of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. As when he sent Mu'adh bin Jabal radi 'anhu to the country of Yemen, he sallallaahu' alahi wa sallam said:
فليكن أول ما تدعوهم إليه شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله. وفي رواية -: إلى أن يوحدوا الله
"The first time that you preach to them the proclamation that no one entitled to be worshiped except Allah. And
history of the other: so that propagation mentauhidkan God. "(Narrated
by al-Bukhari and Muslim from Abdullah ibn Abbas radi Companions'
anhuma)
In
this hadith there is a theorem that shows that monotheism is the first
and primary obligation to be delivered to humans, in which the Prophet
sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam instructed Mu'adh radi' anhu to start in
preaching to the first and foremost thing for them.
